Look who's walking....

We are so proud of our little Isaac. In this video he's only taking a few steps but now, a few days later he's already doing 5-10 steps. We're pretty excited!

The Kill

Brad was suppose to do this post, but because he's in Vernon, so i decided to post for him. I want to get Isaac's birthday pictures up, but the deer happened first...so here she is.... Hope no one gets offended by some of these pictures.

Isaac and I got to watch Brad skin the deer. Isaac didn't know what to think. I'm surprised my stomach could handle it.

Brad shot four deer this year, but this one was his biggest...a five by five they call it. (Five points on each side of the rack)

This is one of Brad's hunting buddies with his kill.

I'm pretty glad the hunting season is over and I can have my husband back on the weekends. Brad still has to take the deer in to get butchered, so we'll see how this things tastes. Brad might be eating a lot of it on his own!

We miss you daddy!

Brad is gone to Vernon for a week to do some training for Kal Tire, so Isaac, Hudson and I have lot's of time to ourselves. Which, for me, is not so fun, but i know there's a ton of stuff I can get done, it's just getting my butt off the couch to start. Once i get started i"m on a roll, but to start is another thing.

Hudson and Isaac waiting for Daddy to come home.
Isaac turing to look at me for a picture.

We can't wait for Brad to come home on Saturday because he's bringing his sister Lindsay home with him. She's going to stay with us until we jump on the train to Manitoba for Christmas. It'll be such a treat to have her watch Isaac for a week and spend some quality time together.

Tonight i plan(key..."I plan") on putting up a post of Brad and Isaac's day off together, and maybe even some pictures of Brad's big deer he shot...we'll see how far my butt gets off the couch!

My Bathroom Reno

I decided to had a little kick to our bathroom upstairs. I'm sick of seing the neutral brown, because our whole house, with the exception of Isaac's room and ours, is that colour. So i decided to make a change.
Here is our bathroom before the change.

And again...

And here is the bathroom now.New shower curtain makes a difference, I think.

It was so great to have colour in there and a few new items. I have yet to hang up the new pictures, but i will show those when they're up. Brad is heading to Vernon in a few weeks for training so I will have lot's of time on my hands to get things done.

I love the new colour. I probably should of done two coats, but didn't have the patience or time for that. I wanted to get this project done before i went back to work, so i did it in one night, on the last week of my mat leave.

I think the next thing is to paint a feature wall in the living room downstairs. This will be my main project while Brad is in Vernon...I think..we'll see how far i get =)

My little pumpkin

I purchased an adorable pumpkin costume online for Isaac...it was only 5 bucks...great deal! It was so much fun to dress him up and take pictures.

Waiting for the trick or treaters. Of course Hudson loves this time of year too. Next year I'll have to make him a costume.

Getting into the candy.

We never took Isaac out door to door because he really can't eat the candy yet. So it would be for mom and dad...next year will be better.

Another great trip to BC

I accompanied my sister to Vernon so that the family could meet Liam. We were only there for a few days, but it was great time for relaxing with Laura and another chance for the grandparents and auntie Shelley to spoil the boys!!

The boys did really well in the airport.
Dad met Liam for the first time!
And what a cutie he is!!

Isaac sat in the OLD high chair...i'm thinking over 20 years old.... mom?
It was great to be able to build a fire and relax in the living room. Although it was a lot of work trying to keep Isaac from the fireplace. That house isn't very "grandkid" proof yet...

We were able to take an afternoon and head up to Davison Orchards for a pumpkin festival. We had such a great time riding on the hayride, picking out pumpkins, and of course testing all the delicious food and drinks.

Great Grandma, Shelley and Isaac checking out how they make donuts.

Shelley and Isaac in the corn maze. Here comes the hayride!!! Jumping on the hayride!!

Isaac loved it!

Isaac loved the pumpkin patch...he was so curious and couldn't keep his eyes off all the pumpkins!

Time for a bath!! Thanks auntie Shelley for all your help while we were there. It was a nice break for Laura and I.
Now I'm a little sad because i'm heading back to work in a few days....but this trip was a great way to end my maternity leave.

Happy Thanksgiving

We headed to the Crowsnest Pass for Thanksgiving this year to be with Brad's family. We stayed at a bible camp that Brad used to go to when he was younger. We drove to Calgary to pick up his dad and then headed the rest of the way to Crow all together. It was a total of 8 hours...a little long for Isaac but we did it =) Isaac and Grandma Rempel ready for a walk. Isaac loved being pushed in his stroller.

Some of the walk was a little bumpy and rocky for a stroller.

It was so refreshing to breathe in that cold mountain air.

How to make cinnamon buns.....
How to steal the leftover sugar from the table....
Isaac was pretty tired.

The next day we went on another hike...this time we took Isaac in a carrier...much easier, and he loved it!!

It was a gorgeous day, and a great hike. This is the Crownest Mountain. Brad has hiked this mountain when he was young.
The drive back to Calgary I had to puppies at my feet. One for Brad's parents to take home and another for his aunt. The dark brown was Autumn and the light coloured was Brad's parents, Carmel. Super cute!Carmel, the Rempels' new puppy. Grandma and Grandpa Rempel with Isaac infront of Grandpa's truck in Calgary.
It was a great trip, now Isaac and I are off to Vernon with Laura and Liam!!

Grandpa Rempel comes for a visit

We always love it when Brad's dad gets a load to Edmonton and can stop in for a visit. Can't wait to see the family when we head to the Crows Nest Pass for Thanksgiving.

Grandpa Rempel and Isaac
Isaac trying on the cowboy hat

Hudson checkin' it out.

Now we try on the shoes and the hat
And a few more candid shots of little Isaac. I guess he's not so little anymore...he's now 10 months old =)
All smiles these days
Getting the toques out for winter
His new ride...all he does is sit on it...for now!
