New Energy

I found a new energy the last couple of days. It's been great to be able to do some devotions in the morning lately, and I'm sure that helps, but I haven't been feeling as tired from my thyroid either, so I hope it's becoming regulated.  Here are some pictures of the fun we've had today. We had a dance party, made some cool binoculars, and had a "hunt". I took a old calendar with animal pictures and hung them aournd the house, Isaac took his new binoculars out on the hunt to find all the animals. It was a lot of fun!
Isaac found the dogs with his binoculars!

Isaac playing on our huge snow pile this afternoon
What's that?? a puddle?? It must be starting to melt!! HURRAY!!
This picture was taken the other day...that headband didn't stay on her head for very long.

Where is all this snow going to go?

Brad has been outside for over two hours the last couple of days on the skidsteer.  We have had a southeast wind gusting from 30 to 50 kms for the past 5 days straight.  It's been crazy! Needless to say the drifts are bad and compact. We feel so blessed to be able to borrow that skidsteer from our neighbour and builder. Without it, we would be in debt big time...
Here are a few pictures of the snow piles that have accumulated this winter...we are going to have so much mud and water pooled up.....I'm not sure if we will even get grass seed planted this year.

This is our biggest snow pile!

The picture above is looking down our driveway that brad has tried to make wider time and time again. The picture below is the second large pile.

That drift is soooo compact, up close you can see the layers. this drift worries me cause it's so close to the house, but the ground does slope down from the house, so we'll be fine.
The big drift is probably 15 feet high...so a great mountain for this guy. I asked Isaac if he wanted to go outside and be king of his castle and he said no, i want to be a lion in my castle.

I wish this snow and wind would stop already!!

John Deere Cake

This past weekend i took my First Aid and CPR course. It was kinda a joke because we took the test all together and said the answers alound.  A lot of the information came back to me from when i took it in high school, but they have changed some things, so i'm glad i took it.  While i was taking that course, Brad was home with the kids and they decided to make a cake.

Turned into a John Deere cake...pretty yummy too!!

Brad always says the kids are great when he watches them...I wanted to remind him that when he watches them he doesn't do anything but watch them. No dishes get done, no laundry, no cleaning.  So then i feel better when i watch the kids and they aren't so great because i am trying to get all those things done.  Which explains why Isaac got into my makeup today....my mom says it's payback, for me getting into her makeup....hopefully this will be a one time thing for Isaac....
He only got into my eyeshadow and put it on his face...could've been a lot worse and a lot more expensive for me!

Autumn is pretty close to walking, but manages to get enough things in her mouth crawling.  But she's super adorable and cute, so I'm ok with all the stuff coming out of the cupboards, if I get to look at this smile all day :)
Have a great weekend, I'm heading to Bonnyville!!

Finally some nicer weather

I've finally been able to let Isaac play outside. No more of this -45 with the wind chill. But for the first time Isaac asked to come inside, instead of me telling him to come in after being out in the cold for too long. I was telling this to Brad and he said that it was cold out that day, i said, "well it was only -30".  In Lashburn, that's not too cold to go outside!  I can't wait till next week when it's suppose to be a high of -8! Than Autumn can join us outside.

Here are some pictures of Isaac playing on our mountain.  He found an extra stick from our deck laying around and deciding it would make a great gun, so he's looking through the scope of the gun.  What an imagination boys have!

Here he is with some gardening tools. "I'm making a road for daddy to drive on mommy". So cute!

Is this his dad's look or what??

Check out those green eyes...again her dad's!!

What a joy it is to be able to stay home from work and be with these two beautiful children.  God has truly blessed us! Now...just bless us with some spring weather!!
