I'm skippng my nap to get this blog updated, so hopefully i won't regret it tonight, when i'm super tired =)
Autumn Joy Rempel was born April 25 at 5:10 am. I started feeling contractions around 11:45pm. I would feel a contraction and then fall back asleep, only to be woken up by another 10 minutes later. I thought to myself i better start counting these contractions. I had been having so many braxton hicks the weeks leading up to, so i thought maybe these were just braxton hicks again, but they started to become regular, only 6 minutes apart. We decided to head to the hospital, and got there around 1 am. They put the monitor on me, and decided to admit me once they saw the contractions were so close together and were quite painful. I never had painful contractions with Isaac, they were quite bareable. With Autumn they came on so quick, that I was in a lot of pain, and wanting an epidural asap. By 2 am i was in the labour room waiting for an epidural and by 4 am i was starting to get ready to push. Unfortunately, the epidural didn't have much time to take effect, and I could feel a lot of the labour pains and delivery process. Autumn wasn't as pleasent to deliver as Isaac was that's for sure. Let's just say I was more vocal.....yelling for the doctor to "pull it out" and a few other things =) After only 20 minutes of intense pushing Autumn was born. I was so happy to see when they put her on my that we had a girl. We had her name picked out for years and we're so happy to have our little princess. I recovered a lot quicker with Autumn. I was able to walk out of the hospital on my own and climb into the vehicle like any other day. It was great! So maybe it's worth to feel the pain for 20 minutes, in order to have a better recovery.
Here are some pictures of the last 11 days. We love holding Autumn and have enjoyed every minute of being parents to two kids.

Showing us she's got a good set of lungs. She sure looked like her brother Isaac when she was born.

Laura was up for the weekend, so it was great to have her and my mom here to watch Isaac when i went into labour and Laura to be in the delivery room with me.

Isaac loves holding his little sister. He's adjusting very well to having her around, and has been a great help....most of the time =)

Taking it all in.....

So proud to have a baby girl.

Enjoying some cuddle time.

She likes to have her hands free...so cute!

So tiny!!

Autumn is doing really well. Eating every three to four hours and letting me get some sleep in the night. Brad's family has come and gone as well as my mom, so we look forward to adjusting to life and getting use to having two kids.
