Enjoying the Autumn season

We've been keeping busy these days. Mom was up for 4 weeks to be in Edmonton with Laura but was able to stop by our house for a few days too. We were able to make some yummy apple sauce. We made the regular apple sauce, strawberry apple, and blueberry apple. Yummy!
We were excited to head to the Crowsnest Pass for Thanksgiving with Brad's family. It was a very relaxing time in the mountains.

Autumn is becoming a little more independant. This day she wanted to wear only these clothes....she looks cute now, but hopefully when she's 16 her choice of clothes to wear will be a little more tastefull.

Isaac was so excited to carve the pumpkins...we ended up carving them a few weeks before Halloween.

We went up to meet little Grace in Bonnyville for her baby shower. Isaac and Autumn both love Grace. Isaac was so gentle with her and Autumn always wantin to be right beside her.

Now we're off to Manitoba for a week...it's Brad first week of holidays he's taken this year, so we're super excited to go on a holiday

I LOVE THIS SEASON

We named our girl Autumn because it is Brad and my favorite time of the year. The colours are breathtaking and the air is fresh from harvest. We love it...and living in the country is even better! Although the mountains look like they're on fire right now too! So i've started decorating the house for the season.  One thing I've done is make a wreath. It's my first Pinterest craft done!
I used some burlap leftover from a friends wedding, bought the leafs at Dollarama, and hung it all on a coat hanger. Pretty sweet wreath for a buck, eh?

Here's some photos from our walk the other night...we love going on family walks out into the pasture. God has created such a beautiful masterpiece.

Highlights of Spring

As i said above, April was a busy month, but it was great. We drove to Calgary to pick up my parents from the airport. They were coming home from being in Israel for 3 months. We got to hang out, be in a snow storm and go to the zoo.  It was great.

In May, we've started to get out in the yard and get some things planted. Our neighbours have been more than gracious letting us use their quads, harrowing tools, tractors, and truck and trailer. They are such a blessing.
Brad and Isaac harrowing to get the ground ready for grass seed.
Autumn now has two teeth on the bottom, one on the top as well as three more starting to poke their way through. She's been pretty content through teething, and no drool. (with Isaac I had to change bibs three times a day as well as his shirts)
I'm so glad she likes to be outside with all of us!
Brad's sister Lindsay and her boyfriend Kevin came out again to help us out in planting 26 spruce trees. Thanks to our great friends the Driedgers, we had no cost but fuel for these trees. Praise the Lord!

This is Brad's nifty invention for watering the trees. Works pretty good.

All this time outside, and hard work tires a boy out!

Our shelter belt trees are starting to produce green stems, so i'll have to take some pictures of those trees too! Last night Brad and Isaac were on the tractor cultivating the area where our garden will go. Tomorrow morning we will plant the garden, and maybe even go to John Deere for their open house and buy a lawn tractor!!

A Busy April

We've had lot's of company this month, so it's been busy but great!

Brad's parents came first, it was a short visit, and we hope to see them again May Lond weekend.  Brad's dad helped put up the blinds, a mirror and we were all outside playing in the mud and trenching the ditches!

We even found time for a dance party!

Then Lindsay, her boyfriend Kevin, Dustin, Justine and Noah came to visit for Easter. Another short visit, but a lot of fun! we had the easter egg hunt outside, thankfully there wasn't too much mud.

Isaac was having so much fun hunting for eggs, he didn't want to go inside to go potty. We look over and there's Isaac pants down going pee.  What a goof!
Isaac found my bag for me!
 Then it was Autumn's birthday!
What an adorable one year old!
We didn't really eat the cake! I had mixed kool aid drink mix with the icing for the pink colour, but added way too  much kool aid mix....it was so sweet and sour you couldn't even put a candy in your mouth without wiping the icing off first!! Lesson learned.

 Happy Birthday Autumn
Then last weekend we went to Cochrane to pick dad and mom up from the airport, after being in Israel for three months....pictures to come!
