Spring Break

It was weird to have Spring Break so early in March. Isaac's daycare wasn't provided during spring break, so my dad and mom as well as my grandma came up from BC to watch Isaac during the week. It was great! They took Isaac to Bonnyville for the first few days, which gave Brad and I a chance to go on a few dates. We went out for dinner all three nights, went to the theatre, went out for coffee, caught a hockey game....it was great. Although Isaac did get into some trouble in Bonnyville....he found an oilers jersey and put it on...how embarassing!

You'll never see him wearing that again.

I'm kickin' myself because I took hardly any pictures while my family was here. But here the few I did take, or stole off Laura's blog.

We had miserable weather the entire week. Blizzard like conditions. Here's Liam checking out the weather at the window. Isaac loves reading books, it was great to have everyone there, so Brad and I weren't the only laps to sit on.

After a great week, we all took a long nap. Isaac slept for two hours, but then came into bed with us and fell back asleep. I can't wait to head to BC at the beginning of May for a wedding. We find out tomorrow night if Jackson (my sister's fiance from Africa) got his visa approved to come to Canada. Please keep them in your prayers.

I've heard Isaac likes looking at books and sitting in his reading chair from Shelley. He sure looks like he's into the story grandma's reading. That's a nice picture of you and Isaac catching up on some rest. And nice for you guys to have some more time for yourself while Isaac was in Bonneyville.
love you guys!

hi. i'm a friend of rachel's from germany. the quote at the top of your blog caught my eye. i don't believe it was tozer who originally wrote this. he may have said it but it has been credited to a refugee jew in WWII who inscribed it on a wall in Cologne, Germany. thought you might like to know... i enjoy looking at your blog now and then to see what rachel's family is up to! god bless!!
