Well I thought i would update you on our lives since we're been home from manitoba. It was hard to get settled back into routine but nice at the same time. We could not believe how much Hudson has grown. WOW! I'll have to post some pictures because he's getting so big...and still growing. On that note, this weekend we're celebrating Christmas with my family, so Hudson has had plenty of playing time with my brothers dog Emmett. On Thursday Hudson was so lethargic we were a little worried but just waived it off because he had just had his rabies shot the day before and just assumed he was exhausted from playing for hours with Emmett. So then yesterday morning i phoned my parents to see how he was doing because he's just been sleeping there so my sister could play with him during the day as Brad and I were both at work, and they said he was still qute lethargic and there seemed to be some swelling on his chin area. So i decided on my lunch hour to go and check on him and by then the swelling was worst so i decided to take him in to the vet to get it checked out. Well thank goodness my sister Laura came with me because i hated it. The vet had to sedate Hudson to find out exactly what was wrong and called me in to look at him. He had some serious swelling on his jaw and the vet said it could either be a bone fracture, a bone infection or bone cancer. Well i faught back the tears with laura and waited for the x-rays and thank the Lord he has a cyst on his jaw that was probably activated when he was playing with Emmett which caused the swelling not anything too serious. So 275.00 dollars later Hudson is on antibiotics and anti-infammatory's. He's back to himself now but the swelling is hopefully going to go down some more. It's weird how one day he can be totally fine then then next sedated and getting xrays for possible bone infection. I don't want to go through that again.
As well this week i was at home frying a egg on my lunch hour and put a lid on it to stop it from spitting and let it sit for a bit came back took off the lid and it poped on me leaving me with a few very bad burns that turned to blisters. It was pretty painful btu thankfully then blisters are gone and now i'm just hoping they won't turn into scars.
So yeah...it's been a crazy past couple of weeks since we've been home from Manitoba, but hopefully Hudson will start to feel better and we can get through January with no more accidents or hospital visits.
